Ingredients
-
3 tbsp Oil
-
1 can Jungle Jack
-
1 Onion, sliced (or 4-5 shallots)
-
3 cloves Garlic, minced
-
3 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
-
1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
-
2 tbsp Vegan Oyster Sauce
-
1 tsp Sugar
-
Spring Onions
-
1 tbsp Jungle Fire Sauce
-
Drizzle of Sesame Oil
Directions
Place a pan or skillet on medium-high heat. Allow it to heat up, then add the oil.
Add the onion and fry for 4–5 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and fry for 2 minutes.
When fragrant, add the Jungle Jack, stirring to break up the large chunks.
Fry well.
Add a splash of water if needed to deglaze the pan.
The mixture should turn almost dark brown with slightly crusty bits.
In a small bowl, combine the light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, vegan oyster sauce, and sugar.
Add 1 tbsp of Jungle Fire Sauce to the mix.
You can add vegetables of your choice, such as broccoli, bell peppers, mushrooms, or thinly sliced carrots. These work really well.
Stir to combine everything, frying for another 5–9 minutes.
Turn off the heat.
Add the spring onions and drizzle with sesame oil.
Serve warm with white rice.
