Crispy-edged, juicy, and dripping with flavour — these Smash Burgers with Jungle Jack are the ultimate plant-based indulgence. Quick to make and packed with smoky heat from Jungle Fire, they’re a crave-worthy twist on the classic burger that’s perfect for your next comfort food fix.

Ingredients
-
2 burger buns
-
1/2 can (200g) Jungle Jack
-
4–6 slices Roma tomato
-
4 leaves green lettuce
-
4 slices vegan cheese
-
1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
-
Jungle Fire, to taste
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Toast the buns: Heat a nonstick or cast iron skillet over medium heat. Lightly brush the buns with vegan butter or oil, then toast cut-side down until golden brown. Set aside.
Season the mince: In a bowl, mix the Jungle Jack mince with salt, pepper, and Jungle Fire to taste. Knead gently for 2–3 minutes until the mixture is soft and moldable.
Shape and smash: Heat the pan to smoking hot. Lightly oil the surface, then place a 3–4 oz ball of mince in the center. Cover with baking paper and gently press down using a sturdy spatula or bowl to form a patty. Don’t press too hard — just enough to flatten.
Cook and melt: Cook for about 2 minutes or until a deep brown crust forms. Flip the patty, add a slice of vegan cheese, splash in a few drops of water, and cover the pan to steam and melt the cheese (about 1 minute). Remove from heat.
Assemble: On the bottom bun, layer lettuce, the smashed cheeseburger, tomato slices (seasoned with salt and pepper), onion, and a drizzle of Jungle Fire. Top with the other half of the bun.
Serve immediately — and enjoy every messy, delicious bite!
