Coconut sambol is a Sri Lankan staple and I’ve been missing it wherever I go since I visited the island. Jungle Kitchen has made a perfect batch and allowed me to sample it at home here in the USA. A magic side to any dish, but best served with rice and curry. Nailed it.

It comes in a tin. But I would say it’s the most fresh and delicious pineapple ever. I think they have added some very little spices into it and that gives a kinda sweet and spicy taste, honestly I don’t how to put that into words. Love it man.

I had a friend buy the spiced pineapple chunks and it was SOOOOO good!! The pineapples were surprisingly fresh out of the tin, and it was so juicy!!! Gonna have to buy more soon😍😍

Delicious Nutritious Jackseed
The fact that Jungle Kitchen uses the entire jackfruit - including the super packed with protein and nutrients Jackseed - makes me love their products and mission all the more. Prepared in a tamarind base sauce that keeps you coming back for more. Yum.

This is my first time having jackseed and I am really, really pleasantly surprised - the flavor is so nitty and the masala gravy has this beautiful caramelized flavor to it. Can't wait to get more! So happy this is available on Amazon.

A pantry staple going forward
So I had vegetarian friends coming over - and decided to make bolognaise with this - and it was the easiest most delicious thing ever. I cooked it with a little onion, ginger, garlic, added tomato pulp, a little bit of chilli crisp to give it an arrabbiata kick - and my dinner guests LOVED it. One can was more than enough for dinner for 5! Such a good staple to keep in the pantry, and such an easy weeknight option too. I so prefer this to fake vegetarian meats - this is made from an actual whole food. And I love that I am supporting a women-led business. Ordering more!!!
